Watched the Bid last night, thought it was a bit ametuerish didnt have much polish to it, cringed a few times including when Hoges presented himself, is that how he paid off his tax debt to the country?

Really hope we get it obviously but dont have a good feeling.

I would hope FIFA would know they wont make the $$$ in Australia, but wouldnt have thought the next world cup in Brazil would be considered a wealthy tournament.

There comes a time when its more important than the $$.

Brazil > England > Australia > US > Europe seems a pretty fair schedule for the next 5 cups

Dutchy you know it just isn't one factor, however the time zone for the far east is a significant reason why the Asian countries are behind Qatar and the US for 2022.

Qatar was no suprise but russia was very suprising. Disappointed we only got 1 vote i think a few members dogged us. Our clean honest bid worked against us, australia has to learn to play dirty. Will definately go to russia but not sure about qatar. We stopped in dubai last year in june and it was 47 degrees for 6 straight days, the heat was unbearable

all the money that was wasted on the bid (how the @##### do you spend that much on a bid is beyond me) do we get it refunded.

The smug look on abramovichs face during the announcement told the full story. Russia is the most corrupt country on the planet and what abramovich and his mafia want they get. I would think the deal was done months ago.
Next cup in asia will be 2030 at earliest and that will be chinas
