Moyes wasn't all that impressed with the extra officials but this is taken from the soccernet report.

Everton put their domestic struggles aside to secure a comfortable 4-0 win over AEK Athens at Goodison Park in their Europa League opener on Thursday night.

Joseph Yobo, Sylvain Distin and Steven Pienaar all scored before half time and Jo added the fourth in the second half. However, the night ended on a sour note with substitute Louis Saha sent off in stoppage time for lashing out at Juanfran. AEK's Carlos Araujo was also sent off after kicking Distin in the testicles.

Im more than happy to see Liverpool vs Juventus at some stage, knock one of the power house teams out, although i wouldnt consider Liverpool power house at the moment :D .

Everton will hopefully have some more quality back in the side come February with Arteta, Jagielka, Yobo, Distin, Rodwell and Gosling currently out injured! Add these boys back to the side and we are in business!

some big names missing, thats no excuse i know but the scoreline makes it look as though we were smashed! the last 2 goals really came from counter attacks cos all our players were pushed up trying to attack!

It is disappointing but we can concentrate on trying to cement another shot at the Europa by continuing our good form in the league!
