Not a great performance but got the result needed.
Great for the game to go to another world cup.
Hopefully a few more young players step up and start performing.

We will get one gun side, a decent european side and one side from Africa or South America that is almost guaranteed

We need to now go and organise as many international friendlies as possible, mainly against the best nations with a couple against nations we should beat.

We need to get as much game time into Kruse, Oar, Rogic etc etc.

We have definitely got Brazil in Brazil and I did hear we are trying to tee up a couple against European opposition.

Pretty sure there's a good chance we'll come across much better than Iraq.

Naturally I want us to go well, but I think we've had better teams in previous campaigns, hopefully I'm eating my words by WC time.

^^ That, I believe he has only recently started playing at club level, so would say not because we haven't wanted to but because we couldn't would explain his lack of playing time for the national team over this campaign.

Spain rightly will be favourites but conditions in Brazil will suit the South American nations to a tee plus they will get some home dodgy decisions.
I expect Brazil and the Argies to go very deep into the comp

Dilemma we have is that there are 12 different stadiums that the WC will be played at and some of those destinations are 5-6000km apart. Without knowing where Australia will be drawn it does make it tricky to book somewhere and then discover they are playing 5000km away.

The plus side is i read that fanatics do not expect the amount of Australian fans to exceed to amount of tickets on offer for us so with that being said i am hoping to get to all Aussie games.

What are others planning on doing that are going?

Im looking at going with a tour like fanatics or similar to get access to all Australia matches.
Will probably go over a few weeks early to do some sightseeing.
Air fares are quite dear. Unless we get drawn with Brazil id think we will be playing at some of the regional venues

Assuming the ticket application process is similar to Euro 2012, I'll apply for the England ticketing package, Australia ticketing package and should they qualify which is relatively unlikely, the Ireland ticketing package.

I'll be flying in from Ireland so I think I'll have it a bit cheaper than those coming from Australia, but it still seems to be far from a cheap destination.

The plan is to pretty well just be around the place for the group stages, but also manage 7-10 days travelling around South America. Not sure yet if that'll be before or after the group stages, depends on flights, but should I travel after the group stages then I'll probably give myself an extra few days in Rio / Sao Paulo before flying out in the hopes of jagging a qtr final or semi final ticket.
Will aim to be in Sao Paulo for the opening game also just to soak up the atmosphere and then I'll travel off towards my group stage matches.

Prices are not that bad, looking to get a package to see all Australian games plus finals. Definately going to try to get a final ticket whatever the cost, have been to other finals before but never the actual final

6-0 sums up the gap between us and the worlds best and we need to invest in some proper national development as in similar to englands new st.geroges national training center where they work with the best from under 6 to the first team. it improves everyone and maybe in the future we can compete and even try to win things until then we will have to just pray.
