Excellent win by the Aussies, what a battering. Good to hear the Final is on a Saturday night, huge night of football coming up.

Bit stiff against the south Koreans. They did draw against both teams. How Australia and sth Korea were in the same group to start with was an absolute joke

Wow -who'd a thunk that Australia would do it that easy.
Asia needs some work to lift the standard of the confederation.

I really believe FIFA should now invite New Zealand to join.

The think the afc is ok.
Uzbekistan had a horror day and i dont think they are that bad. They were under pressure after conceding early and once they went a man down they just capitulated. We did get the easier side of the draw so congrats must go to india because that goal they scored against korea was the differance.
Aswell as the 2 finalists korea and iran have decent sides and remember we struggled against iraq.

With wc in qatar can see those nations improving, whether they can sustain it will be the issue

I certainly don't think NZ would become a 'power' but would certainly add depth to the comp. Particularly the qualie stages.
The fact they were able to make the WC from Oceania is fantastic for them.
They're our near neighbours, so can't see why they can't be transferred to Oceania. It would be a benefit for world football.

It'd be better to shut down Oceania full stop and just merge the wholeshebang with Asia. Move the Gulf countries over to Africa if they need room.

The Oceania nations could be allocated two spots in the qualifying rounds and they have a play-off to earn the right to get there.

That would certainly get the Asian Confederation off our backs for having a team in our domestic comp from another confederation... :-k

The whole setup is a farce.
Everyone forgets poor israel, the gulf countries had them kicked out of asia because they refused to acknowledge their existance and refused to play them. They were forced to go into europe where realistically they have stuff all chance of qualifying for a major cup. Israel would beat half those sides in asia and would qualify for most world cups out if the asian zone. Absolute joke, we shouldnt be complaining about anything we have it easy
