Just watched Aberdeen and Hearts play out a 0-0 draw.
Was live on setanta and its rare to watch us live these days.
We played ok and a draw against the 3rd placed side is a top effort. Could of pinched in last minute of injury time, cracking shot by blackman well saved by keeper.

st johnstone v aberdeen midweek promises to be a good game, both sitting equal points on the table - albeit st johnstone have a game in hand

I think this could go 0-0 or 0-1 to the dons

Glad to see planners have backed our new stadium. The new stadium should hold 21,000 and will be located on the south side of Aberdeen, will cost about £40m. Good news for the club and hopefully the council approves and work can start asap. Things looking up for the dons

im not too sure about spending too much money

the SPL is slowly dying, the quality of games isnt of a consistently reasonable level as it used to be, I just hope the club can sustain it

I agree we need to be carefull, but i believe the government is chipping in a fair bit of the funds. We need a bigger ground for when we qualify for europe :D
Agree scottish football is dying and can realistically see the clubs entering english comp within 10 years.

until they get some decent players in this league then it will be the way it is for many years to come. If Rangers and Celtic do eventually join the english leagues then it will be another 2 teams that keep winning and winning so it will never change. Maybe they need to do away with one fo the divisions up there and enter more teams in the premier league for more variety of games

if rangers and celtic do move then i think that opens the comp up for more teams then just 2, as most teams tend to be quite even

but if the 2 teams that are year in year out in the champions league and they move on and its replaced with say Hearts and Hibs and they finish in the top 2 2 years running they will become the dominate teams IMO and no one else will have a show. Need to increase the comp for more teams IMO for more variety instead of playing some teams 3 times in one year etc.

Im not sure that there will be a new 2 team domination of the SPL if Rangers and celtic move on

but i I can see your point Bulldog and in the long run you will possibly be correct

I reckon they should create another div in england and merge with scottish league. Top two go into epl, next 4 into championship and then filter the others down. A bit radical but it might work. The scottish league wont survive on its own

Not a chance Jim. The top Epl sides are totally against Rangers and Celtic joining. Two reasons, their fans are a nightmare and no other club in the EPL would risk their own top flight status to make room for them.

Same goes for the Championship, who would vote yes to allowing two more clubs in the division at the risk of two more having to drop out, and so on.

It'll never happen imo
