Bloody Arsenal. What a SOFT penalty to Fabregas.

2-2 heading to the Nou Camp. Barca still in the box seat with those away goals.

Just seen the highlights of the BAR v ARS game and the score really should of been 5-5 from what i saw! BAR should have been a couple up after 10 minutes but it really does show you why these teams haev the best keepers in the world! pure class from both keepers!

Can't see ARS progressing now though, to give 2 goals away at home and will now be without Arshavin and Fabregas there 2 biggest names i just cant seem them winning, but anything can happen in a game of football!

Anybody hear anything about Rooney?? im hearing reports about him missing the WC now! if so that would be very damaging for the Three Lions!

Sorry mate, but Almunia is pure garbage as a keeper. He's made more blunders than Tiger Woods and Ben Cousins put together.

He was horribly out of position for Barca's 1st goal, which effectively undid all the good work in pulling off those great saves in the first half. Almunia is a terrible keeper.

And on Rooney, he'll mis 4 weeks with an ankle injury, but will be fine for the WC.

I wasn't specifying just ARS and BAR as having the best keepers but more generally stating that these types of teams (CL teams) have the better keepers and i thoguth Almunia showed his worth in this game with some of the saves!

Most goals that are scored are due to the keeper being at fault, generally cos they are in a bad position, and only quality strikers such as Torres, Tevez, Messi (to name a few) can make the keepers look stupid!

I ahvent watched many ARS games this season but from the highlights i saw of this game i thought Almunia was vital and made some cracking saves! I think if it weren't for Almunia BAR would of won the tie 5-2 atleast...

Yeah, I'll agree with that bit.

On Keepers, what about:

Schwartzer
Friedel
Howard

All top class keepers, not playing for CL sides. Imagine if Arsenal had Schwartzer this year. I bet they'd be on top of the league right now.

Yeh i reckon you could debate that! I rate Schwarzer not just because im an Aussie but because i have watched many of his performances (for Fulham and Australia) and he more often than not is outstanding, same with Timmy Howard but i guess i havent seen enough of Almunia and others to have a say on their overall performance, you would just assume they are decent when playing for a CL side!

It's amazing how no CL teams have looked at Schwarzer, is it because his age?? he has shoved it up them about the age if so cos he hasnt seemed to have dropped of the pace!

You don't have to watch too many Gooner games to realise how inept Almunia is.

Perfect example is the howler he let in against Birmingham last week.

WOW. Barca 4 arse 1.
Messi and Xavi are from another planet.
IMO if Messi can win a WC, he will go down as the greatest player in history.

Barcas posession was 69%. they completed 504 passes compared to arsnals 260 odd. Their pass completion % was 84.

That's unreal. This Barca side could be the best team in history. Big call, but who has been better?

Hand them the cup right now!

Ok so here is a question!

Mr Messi is only 22 years of age, i would imagine he has won just about every individual accolade there is in football (besides a WC and WC awards). He signed a new contract during last season which does not run out until 2016 and has a buy-out clause of €250 million!

Man City would be the only ones who could afford that buy out clause surely!

Do we think he will play in the premier league at some stage? He'd have to surely...
