Just curious what the split in support on this site would be?

I went Celtic due to the fact that I have probably watched them on TV more than Rangers.
I don't really follow the SPL, more keen on the EPL & Eredivisie.

It is one of the true great rivalries, in any sport, that would take some beating.
In football though, Liverpool v Everton, Inter v AC, Real v Barca, Boca v River Plate
Hibs v Hearts is the other good Scot rivalry, Fernebache v Galatsaray, PSV v Eindhoven

My rival in England is Forest who are sitting in League 1. :D

Hopefully they come up to the CCC, so when we are relegated we can kick some arse !!

I'm not religious, but support Rangers (Protestants).
I believe the rivalry is as much English/Irish, as it is Catholic/Protestant*.
This dates back to when the Irish settled in Scotland, at the time of the famine.
Hence- Celtic (Irish/Catholic)
- Rangers (English/Protestant)

My reasons for supporting Rangers-
a mate supports them
Celtic fans are d**ks  (well all the ones I met at the time were)

I took Celtic because I'm one of those dicks Punk has met!

I actually started following them because family members of my best mates played for them - Nothing to do with religion (which would NEVER determine a team I follow).

Also followed the Boston Celtics since I was a youngster and have a bit of Irish heritage somewhere down the line.

sometimes when Rangers play Celtic the Gers club fof SA have booked out a room at the JETTY RD hotel for the game, $20 with nibblies etc at half time. went to one a few years back and it was quite intense.

im sure celtic do that for there fans at the pub with CELTIC on it on Pt Rd/george st near that indoor ski joint.

Pfft .. Newcastle would have beaten that if they were based in Scotland, and that says something  (LOL thats the best I can come up with after scouring the net hoping to find a better blurb on Celtic success than the one you provided for Rangers, sadly to no avail :()

PUNK - Is Newcastles 81 years without a DIV 1 title a world record or is the 52 years without an FA CUP a world record?

ps - the razz emoticon doesn't seem to be working on this PC..

everyone knows that rangers vs celtic is the biggest rivalry in football. but it depends on whom you follow, for instance, i think Arsenal Vs The Scum ( tottenham ) is a big rivalry in its self, but thats my view. most people would say Liverpool vs Man United is a big on etc. Depends on whom is followed

Hibernian FC all the way.

Celtic are nothing more than a Hib's rip-off.

And Celtic fans chant 'if you knew your history' without a hint of irony.

If you knew it indeed.........................
