Anyone been getting into the paralympics?

Seeing these people compete is pretty awesome and inspiring. To have got over their disablities to get into a position to compete at this levels is often greater than their counterparts in the Olympics... another bonus is that excuses aren't often parts of these athletes thoughts.

pretty keen to see the little people/dwarves/midget (not sure what the PC term is these days) compete - both inspriing and amusing...

Also used a smart marketing campaign up against the able bodied Olympics, saying that they were just the warm up act.....

- thumbs up to whomever thought to include a rendition of Ian Dury's "Spasticus Austisticus" in the opening ceremony.

- have tried to watch a bit of coverage on the ABC, but when I tuned it it was mostly interview with a smart-arsed crip olympian and occasional segues to a couple of unfunny comedians. Didn't see much actual competition yet. Shall be watching though....

I've watched a bit. The power lifting is awesome. Matt Cowdrey is a swimming Legend here in Aust. If he goes to Rio he should have more medals then Phelps has in the Olympics.
