china CCTVisnt much better apart from being in chinese they have 9 stations the basketball on 2 of them and the same news program on another 2

That's disgusting...at least the BBC don't do ads but they do sometimes jump to another event before the first had finished...talking of which has he tried for a new record too...they left him having a lie down to show home movies from the Team GB camp :roll:

That was amazing, didn't even know we were a chance of a medal in the pole vault! :shock:

Absolutely stuffed but had some things to do at home before I hit the sack and glad I stayed up! :D

actually pafc its only 52 years for a field medal

Charles Porter (born January 11, 1936) is a former athlete from Australia, who competed mainly in the high jump

He competed for Australia in the 1956 Summer Olympics held in Melbourne, Australia in the high jump finishing second behind American Charles Dumas.

steve hooker comes from good athletic stock

Family connections
His mother Erica (Nixon) Hooker was a 1972 Olympian and a Commonwealth Games long jump silver medallist (1978). She also won nine National titles. His father Bill represented Australia in the 800m and 4 x 400m at the 1974 Commonwealth Games and won four National crowns.
