First the opening ceremony was at the Gabba, then it was at a new stadium, then it was at Suncorp, then they sussed out whether to cancel it or not and now they're going to rebuild a dilapidated QE2?
Tomorrow it will probably be in the Brisbane River with a temporary stand on the Storey Bridge.
They'd struggle to organise a root in a brothel up there atm.

Majority of QE2/QSAC is what looks like temporary seating, the tracks inside are all pretty much up to spec, as well as the secondary 400m next to it.

The old stand is pretty cruddy, though

Surely can't help.
Probably wont impact places like Perth, Sydney and Adelaide too much though.

Going by how long they took to do the new track, plus how long it's taking to build the new SASI and wind tunnel centre, there's no way we could offer to host an Olympics before the turn of the century...

No chance of the Olympics, was just referring to "other World Events"
