x-wings are now known as tower wings. Ferrari had them for one race only. Tyrrell were the first team to have them. They looked stupid, and got banned.

Q17 is a funny one, as I have a huge photo of Coulthards car from the 1996 Monaco GP on my bedroom wall, but it is going backwards into the barriers at the first corner, so I cant see the helmet!

quote from f1 monaco grand prix 1996
In this race, McLaren's David Coulthard ran with the spare crash helmet of Ferrari's Michael Schumacher, after the visor on his own helmet persistently misted up.

PAFC, you were thinking of the year before when he got tangled up with the two Ferrari's forced a restart which coincedently a photo is hanging on my lounge room wall with him facing ar*e about to the camera and Burger airborne

also a bit of history of the X wing, The 95 McLaren had the same type of wing when at the high downforce tracks ie Monaco and Budapest but dropped it for some reason which is also in the same photo
