The "finished at another club" line has really stumped me.

Hamblyn? I doubt it.
McKinnon? I thought he had already left Centrals by then.
Can't remember many other regulars who changed clubs. Not doubting you spelly, just completely stumped!

Crikey, we were 16 & 4 in 2001, so maybe more consistency from the player sin that season.
I'd stake a go in 2001 at the following 5:
Daniel Healy
Marco Bello
James Gowans
Matthew Slade
Nathan Steiberner

2001 is correct. The correct players in the guess are Bello and Steinberner.

Is the other one West in 1977?
BTW was the 72 MM held at Channel 9 studios?

No, it happened earlier than 1977.
And the 1972 Count was not held at the Channel 9 Studios.

Nope to both - unless if the name has changed since then or it actually isn't a 'hall' - just called that, it's incorrect.

A few clues on the questions not answered yet:

1 - This club won the flag the following year.

5 - The hall is south of Victoria Square.

9 - The hotel has since changed its name.

10 - The player is now prominent in television.
