Go you double blues? Nah, just go the Blues in the cricket season. NSW will be a power and I believe we can retain our title..but I reckon the Redbacks will be a much stronger unit with the recruitment of Elliott, the return of Boof and Dizzy and the continued development of Rofe, Cullen and Tait.

Some of the younger batsmen need to get a wriggle on (or a waggle off in one currently omitted batsman's case) but the Jellybacks might just be known as the Redbacks by fans outside of SA's borders by the end of this season.

Well considering we just about played against Australia on Sunday, we did very well to lose by such a short margin in the one dayer. I think the difference was Elliot's innings. If he'd got anything, we would've been winners. All other players did their jobs I believe considering the ball to run ratio.

With our batting lineup, we should have more runs than this. Can't keep leaving it up to Boof to carry the side.

Its pretty hard for the boys to come up against a team like NSW will all those test players in the side.

very tough to come up against half the test team and with Tait and Dizzy both being injured does not help
at the end of the third day NSW declared at 187 leaving us over 350 to win and at stumps the Redbacks were 3/14 with Blewett still at the crease and Lehmann yet to bat
Elliott out for another duck, 2 ducks in three innings

the redbacks probably drew the short straw as they are probably the only team that plays NSW at full strength :x

Elliott Shmelliot. Went down looking against McGill in the 1st innings! Who lets one go past the bat against McGill on his home deck?

Elliott will score shitloads of runs this season, just like he does every other year. As for the 'test team' when you have a decent district cricket set up, a strong shield side and yes, eventually Test selection will follow. The District scene in Adelaide has been a joke for years (in comparision to other states not my own limited ability) and the end result of this is one Shield per decade.

8/153 at lunch. Cleary 14, Rofe 13, just Cullen to come.

We wont play a team as good as this again this year, but unfortunately, no other state will either.

Elliott is proving to be as useful a recruit as Fleming and Flower...

Borgas needs to lift too...there's plenty of other players out there that can make runs.

172 for a side with Elliott, Boof, Blewett, Manou and Ferguson. Disgraceful.

Dizzy and Tait were missed...fancy opening the bowling with Cleary...

Wonder how long Boof can keep carrying this team?

Guys like Elliott and Blewett really need to step up. I'm expecting good things from Ferguson this season.

Deitz needs to be given the arse ASAP.

Blewey's had a few useful starts so I don't think he's under pressure for his place JUST yet.

Well its still a bit early to tell about few things. Deitz is another that could probably do with a few runs as well.
