jeez I hope they treat him better than one of their own Tim MacDonald who has signed with Tasmania and been the leading grade wicket taker over there 3 years running with 1 first class game to his name. apparently they are very dirty on this one

Mark Cleary was offered a contract with WA, but after consideration, turned it down.

Interesting one and I hope Kelly does well for himself.
Ben Edmondson and Steve Magoffin, who are the current backbone of the WA attack, both came from Queensland about 4 years ago after they couldn't get a game with the Bulls.

I have it on good advice that young George has signed on with the Redbacks after being heavily persued by other states...good news, a young beanpole that bowls with genuine pace and had Langer in trouble a few times in the nets before the test match last year

Good luck to Kels on the move west. He is a professional and will give it everything he's got, hopefully it provides an opportunity to play first class cricket.

As I said about Cleary, he got an offer from WA, was all but on a flight west, then turned it down to stay in Adelaide, so expect an announcement soon. 100% staying.

Mark has previously tried to leave SA
Cant blame him if he does
He did make a 100 in 2005/2006 and got dropped the next game
Exceptional talent and needs to be given an extended run in the team

If you are talking about the Victoria thing a couple of years back, then no. He didn't have a Redback contract so he had to put him name on the list of uncontracted players, which he did about 30 minutes before the deadline closed. He never wanted to leave, but was offered a contract by Victoria, he looked at it, laughed it off, and soon after resigned for the Redbacks. Only reason he hasn't signed a new contract already is he is playing/coaching in the Netherlands right now.
