First Class Cricket Talk (International and State)

The worst decision ever!!!!

Postby am Bays » Tue May 15, 2007 1:00 am

Got this email from a mate playing and coaching in the UK ATM. Another mate of his was playing arguably the biggest game of his career on teh Oval for Leeds University against Surrey and he cops this stinker.....

http://youtube.com/watch?v=aBAMDCv5c9A

A couple of issues here, 1. The Surrey captain (Butcher) needs a good size 11 up his ar5e for appealing in the first place, ******* disgraceful should get games for bringing the game into disrepute

2, WTF the non-striker not saying anything to the umpire and the striker just walking off???

3, ever known a keeper not to go up when their is a feint hope of a caught behind....

I actually asked my mate WTF is this a joke, this can't be real he has just walked off (Another bloke and I replayed the vision 4-5 times at work looking for where it had been doctored as we couldn't believe it). My mate emailed me back saying they are just so soft over there, old school prim and proper don't want to be seen disputing the umpire coming from the Uni....

**** being prim and proper when you cop a stinker like that got to ark up....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

 My God, if i copped that decision i would more than ark up. I am amazed that the opposition didn't recall him. If i was the captain of the fielding side there is no way i would allow that batsman to be given out and if i was just a player i would be extremely embarrassed that my captain didn't recall him. So many things wrong with that.

It's so bad I wonder if it's a fakey?? Something isn't right about it, why is no-one on the field objecting or showing any sign of shock? English stiff upper lip?

Sorry to be a bit sceptical but it is Youtube. Don't think it's been doctored but maybe it's been arranged to get some fame on the internet? A comment on the site says they think it is a Natwest ad - dunno.

fake, surely if given out to something like that the batsman would have to at least stare at the ump instead of virtually running straight off, maybe they were both on the take?
