I'll go out on a limb here and say that in my 40 years of watching Australian cricket, Hussey is without doubt one of the finest players we have ever produced. What a star.

AU 4/336[50]
HADDIN 49[61] very sweet timer, turned the game
HUSSEY 105[84] ditto what AH said
HODGE 97*[86] terrific player
WHITE 42*[19] amazing finisher when set up for him.

1/26 0f 5.5 overs BOND just got JAQUES out and on the last ball of
his over had HADDIN dropped at slip 1st ball by FLEMING.
Then for the 1st time in the series an Australian batsman took charge.
HADDIN is good enough to be a batsman, but number 3 ?????
FLEMING might just have dropped the Dale Hadlee/Trevor Chappell trophy.

The rest was carnage, HUSSEY at 4 I love that for him murdered them.
HODGE was awesome
WHITE just kept his detractors at bay today, and a promotion to 6 will help him.
The grounds+ pitches are likely to be similar in the WI hmn...

NZ played a 5th bowler that was a bits and pieces bowler
STYRIS + MCMILLAN bowled 9 overs for 1/80 :butthead:
Maybe one day people will realise the 5th bowler must be a quality allrounder.

NZ bat well and can still fluke it but likely too just fall short on the postage stamp ground.

Quite unfortunate. Thought he did pretty well to accelerate late and get that close but he deserved to get there really. Batted superbly.

As for Hussey :prayer:

Ideally yes, but Australia don't have one and New Zealand has Oram injured. Probably better off player a quality bowler if the allrounder option isn't available.

looking a Jaques, I am starting to question if he has a stong enough technique at International level

my observations, he plays from the crease with limited or no foot movement, so against world class bowlers, who move the ball at pace, he may struggle, especially as an opener

NZ 1/9
FLEMING OUT

WHITE 42*[19]

Changing tack here slightly is it just me or do we look much better in the gold 'away" uniform, compared to the green "home" uniform????

Yes i agree the yellow looks better. Apparently the green will be used at the world cup though.

Do we were the yellow strip when we play Pakistan, South Africa or Bangladesh. Why change to the green when other countrys already wear it.

Watson warming up quality spell from him needed. NZ going along nicely.

NZ 3/189[31.4]
TAYLOR 102*
He bats like Kevin Pieterson.
He is a magnificent batsman, maybe the best NZo/d batsman we may ever see.

This game was released when WATSON 1/20 [5] was stupidly
replaced by WHITE
wht oh why would you bowl WHITE when HOGG+ WATSON were bowling well.

Because the Commonwealth Bank logo stands out better on the green than it does the yellow. Money is more important to Cricket Australia than spectators.

Good to see you with a more realistic opinion of White's bowling

Hodge would be a better option than White as a spinner. Watson bowling well.
