Manous time is up. Hes already had too many chances and tonights effort should be the end of him.
Hes played 70 odd one day games for an ave. of around 20. His highest score is 63.
Hes a shit captain and doesnt even look like making runs.
If he plays again the Redbacks and the selectors are a joke.
Bring on Deitzy.

and send flipper with him, the useless f**k. I find it quite ironic that our teams discpline - approach to training, partying etc has been blamed as our cause of failure, all atributes of a certain mr ritchie and mr phillips when simmo took over as national coach in the 80's do you see a pattern emerging?

Runs have dried up for Graham.
I consider his glove work to be as good as any keeper in the world,
sadly his batting has undermined his confidence and his keeping is
also slipping.
Has had many chances, cant have too many left in the o/d team.

I have been saying this for years. Has only stayed in the team because he is in with the right people at the SACA. He should have been dropped years ago.

Who are the decent keeper/batsmen in the Grade competition? Are any likely to challenge Manou or Deitz in the next year or so? Deitz looks as if he has cemented his spot at number 6 or 7 in the Redbacks batting line up as keeper for the Pura Cup and I hope he keeps performing and they stick with him in this position. Manou must be skating on thin ice. Has had plenty of chances in the Pura Cup comp and is now also struggling to make runs at one day level after being tried as opener and down the order. If there was a good performing young keeper in the Grade comp I'd be tempted to give them a go in the last couple of Ford Ranger games. If not, I guess Manou keeps his position until the next one comes along or he actually puts in some consistent performances. And why burden him with being captain? Another dumb selection by the duds at the SACA.

No young ones currently up to it IMO...
Davey (TTG) reasonable but needs time, same with Bailey from uni.
Mclean and plant have kept in 2nd x1 but dont look to be in the mix currently.
Deitz the obvious choice If manou is to go

Palmer at Kensington is the best 'keeper. But, probably hasn't got the runs in him...

Todd Ferguson won the Charlie Walker Trophy for the best keeper in Grade Cricket last season. Not old, but certainly not a "young" keeper either. Very enthusiastic keeper who keeps without pads and really throws himself around. He also opens the bat for the Blues. Not saying he should be in the team, but I rate him a better keeper than Manou.

As someone else said, Palmer from Kensington is a very classy keeper.

In fairness to Manou last night, the standard of the throwing was a nightmare. I don't think I've seen a more concentrated performance of shocking throws, even from the infield. Manou was stretching out all evening trying to take wild throws that should have been over the stumps.

isnt this the problem in general?

While the team is not performing as it should be, there is not enough pressure on them from the grade teams.

Time to say good by to a couple of teams

Adelaide Hawk, is that the Todd Ferguson that used to pop up in the foward line at Sturt in the late 90's?
