Well hopefully we put up a good showing but the realist in me expects WA to embarrass the inexperienced group of cricketers we will send over.

I hope you enjoy your stay over here stampy! The weather should be nice and mild for the one-dayer but heating up a bit for the weekend game.

I fancy the Warriors in the day-nighter but we're no certainties in the Pura Cup game. Even though you will be fielding a weakened side, an outright win is no certainty for WA. Our attack often struggles to bowl sides out twice :(

Our batting struggles not to be bowled out twice though. If WA are ever going to do it it is this weekend.

Our sides looks a little thin but hopefully the newcomers have a hunger to do well. A win here could put us back in the picture having games in hand.

"11.4 Edmondson to DJ Harris, OUT, big inducker, Harris tries to work to leg hit on the pad, Burce Bennett gives a disgraceful decision, the ball was missing leg by a mile "

wouldn;t have known it was a poor decision if you;re listening to WA radio.

C'mon Cosgrove, you need to LIFT!

I think we should play for SA. Wouldn't do any worse.

Is it really flippers fault? Can we get any better by selecting more players who aren't up to it?

Whoever didn't put 'an offer you can't refuse' in front of Shannon Hurn is mad and should be shot. The kid was taking a rookie contract from the SACA because he was undecided which sport he wanted to play. The conversations I had with him about the decision he had to make indicated that he was leaning toward cricket for a while. Would love to know what tipped his mind in favour of footy in the end.

Too many problems, too short a lifespan in a keyboard.

I hear what you are saying, but the truth is the SACA simply cannot put up the numbers to compete with an AFL contract. They have lost a number of quality players to AFL, but other states would have the same problem so we can't use that as a reason for our poor performance.

All out for 205. Good to see Slugger Adcock making 90 from 93 balls. Cosgrove played an epic innings, 20 from 31 balls including 3 fours. Seems to be his limit these days, which is a real worry.

Interesting that they took Smithy to WA yet didn't play him.

the money that the AFL pays would have tipped him over the edge and the prick should be made to pay the money he took to entice him to play cricket back to the SACA. they new they couldnt complete with an AFL contract so they gave it to him and force him to have second thoughts and it hasnt worked.
