About 4 or so hours away.
Aussies looking to hit 400 runs today. But that's only if a) we bat first or b) England get 400 batting first and we chase it down.
The only way we can get 400 is if we bat first and hit a couple 4s each over.

It was amusing reading Ponting saying they will go for a world record score, when we all know what happened last time they hit over 400...

Now that they have talked themselves up big time, I bet they don't make 350!

3/81 off 20 now

almost runout by Punter start off 21st over

Michael Johnson bowling very very well but his wicket was soft... he deserved it though. Bell with a shocking shot which was caught easily by Hussey.

Both Bell & Strauss were out playing really dumb shots just when each was starting to look set and comfortable. England could have been in a much stronger position than they are at the moment.

Pietersen & Collingwood going along OK.

3/110

Pietersen 37*
Collingwood 16*

Bracken 2/25

They were probably taking the piss anyway, the cricinfo guys have been in fine form this summer.

White just messed up a chance off Collingwood... tough as he was looking straight into the sun.
The Poms going very slowly, just over 4 an over on a good pitch.

I've said it before about White, and I'll say it again.

The bloke can bat, no worries here - as for his bowling: see what Pietersen is doing to him now. 3 sixes in 2 overs.

White 0/27 off 3 overs!

England 3/166

White does go for a few runs, but he is a wicket taker.

white makes up for the runs that get hit off his bowling by usually doing demolition jobs on the opposition bowlers, and against the POMS attack he may not get a chance to bat

White is the batting future in one dayers, he will go well at the world cup with the small WI grounds.

MJ is the future of aussie bowling though.. along with tait and the hilf we are looking good.

Personally i think tait should get a game before clark, more of a wicket taker...plus clark bores me a bit...the runs keep coming for the english keepers...why not stick with read and give the lad some confidence... he is the best keeper stick by him!!!
