My first comment is that Australia are batting.

Other than that - WHAT A DISGRACEFUL UNIFORM THE AUSSIES HAVE - grey and yellow with KFC everywhere! They look more like painters than cricketers! What the???

20/20 Cricket is truly the work of Satan!!!

This game is definitely a joke. There should be more in it for the bowlers to take wickets rather than being gifted wickets by slog shots, stumpings and the like. maybe an extra stump or a pitch that is a metre shorter?

Spiderman in more ways than one with umpire Peter Parker wearing what looks like a skin suit or at least an outfit 3 sizes too small for him. He should be wearing a sports bra!

For all the people who dont have Foxtel you all had
an opportunity to see what Ive been raving about for
the last few months about Cameron White.
Next you will all see what Im raving about when Ben Hilfenhaus has a bowl.
Harwood the best domestic 20/20 bowler in Australia this year is one to watch as well.
And dont forget the top 5 limited overs bowler in the world Nathan Bracken

Hilfy looked good that over. Nice movement. And that bouncer trampolined just nicely.

Gilly, future commentator?

When he threw to the break, very, very funny stuff.

"Hilf" looks impressive, looks to have quite a bright future.

WHITE/HILFENHAUS

A lot of you people can now see what ive seen in these 2 outstanding cricketers.

WHITE
40 * OF 20 BALLS
2 OVERS 1/11
2 CATCHES

White keeps impressing.
In 1965 White for West Indies was a star, now its White the 2007 version.
Both good allrounders, the WI White didnt kick on
AND MAN OF THE MATCH CAMERON WHITE :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

HILFENHAUS
4 OVERS 2/16

Hilfenhaus is our big ashes hope in 2009, he is going to be a handfull in thier conditions.
He is the 2nd best bowler to play for Tasmania
A guy who took 355 test wickets is the best.
Hifenhaus has bowled well on the flat Bellrieve pitch for 2 years know
Did we see his outswingers, wow !
He only bowled 134 kms tonight , can get to 140+

AU 5/221
EG 9/144

Plonkerson 11of 6 balls, until run out
Nixon 30 off 22 balls impressed[36 year old keeper !!!!!]
About time a English keeper made runs
England played about 8 reverse sweeps for 2 wickets and about 6 runs {DUMB]

20/20 is great to watch, I really enjoy it, like all forms of cricket[tests still the best]

I think White's economy rate as a bowler is the key to his international career mal, if he can get that under control, he certainly has a future, at least in the shortened version of the game.

If Hilf can follow Alderman's lead from the 89 Ashes series, looks promising for the tour over there in a few years time.

just got back from the game

1. The Aussies uniforms are ordinary live and look ordinary under lights

2. Hayden looks very comfortable back in the one day side, I believe this stability at the top of the order will make the aussies tough to beat

3. It is now proven beyond all doubt, KP is very ordinary in the field

4. England will struggle in the one day format, they lack quality and depth in their bowling, in the batting the POM's lack match winners, while the Aussie bat all the way day to 7 or 8, with players who can score a run a ball

5. Hilfenhaus and White prove that Aust have plenty of depth in cricket, yes it was only 20 / 20, but our boys coming through are head and shoulders above the POM's young group of Bell, Lewis and co

Exactly. My GF and her sister were watching in the lounge while I was doing work in the office. They hardly ever watch cricket and would never turn it on of their own accord except for tonight. 20/20 is not for the cricket purist. But it is a good way of perhaps attracting some new people to the game and allows the fringe players to earn the money on their contracts. Definitely don't want to see any more of it than what is currently being played.

Too much 20/20 cricket will see no bowlers being produced in the future. It's simply not a test between bat and ball, which is the essence of cricket.
