Victoria WHITEwash Tasmania p/cup game

Allan Border must be glad he has resigned from being an Australian selector.

VIC 5/329 at stumps day 1

Hodge[153] the forgotten middle order option.
White [100 not out] the champ is in form this year.

Good to see future Australian allrounder WHITE dominating since being
vehemently criticised on this site.

Against England he took 3 wickets ?
He made 30 of 14 balls
Against Tasmania in the o/d game he made 50 run out, and then put
in the best o/d captaining exhibition I have seen in years.
Today the young Victorian WHITEwashed Tasmania made 100 not out and has put his name on
the selectors future lists for sure.

As predicted if you tame the 2 opening Tasmanian fast bowlers Griffith and
his star partner Hilfenhaus there are plenty of runs from the rest of the battlers
Griffith[2/64]
Hilfenhaus[27 overs [2/87]

The selectors could pick 2 teams to play England and win at this stage.

Spot on Mal. White would be perfect coming in at 6 or 7 in the World Cup. The West Indian wickets are pretty slow these days and will suit his leggies. Brillant in the field as well. Seems that his stint at Somerset has improved his batting.

He is still a very young man about 23 ?
He was sensational in the field v Tasmania in the o/d game.

Yes, but can White BOWL though, i dont think many people would say he could bowl anywhere near international level.

He can bowl just as well as Hogg, and is a better spin option than Symonds.

Hes still a baby in spinners terms, it might develope.
He can field
He can bat
He can captain
He can learn to develope his straight breaks as well.

VIC 6/429 DECLARED
TAS O/21
Rain stopped play.
Game washed out
Tasmania destroyed by the great WHITE hope 150 NOT OUT

Is 429 enough with that starstudded top 6 of Tasmania ?

Whites last 3 digs

30 NOT OUT v england
50 RUN OUT v Tasmania
150 NOT OUT v Tasmania

230 runs without a bowler good enough to dismiss him.
Hmn.

That should be the end of his 1st class career. Anyone dismissed by White should take a long hard look at themselves.

First innings points to the Tigers. They are a fair side this season and my tip for the Shield.

VI 6/429 DEC[idiots]
TA 518 Divinuto 129...Bailey 101...Marsh 95*

TA were 8/427 + 9/432 when got up
a 86 run partnership for the 10th wkt Adam Griffith [47] i reckon his highest score.

The worlds greatest ever leggie Warrrrrrrrrrney after being clobbered by the
Tassie batsmen finished with 46.3 overs 3/159
Warnnnney fought back late getting the PRIzED scalps of Hilfenhaus/Geeves + Griffith !!!!

I beleive there was a Bailey played test cricket about 100 years ago and is George
Baileys grandfather or gg grandfather ?

Tasmania win again.

VI 1/192 2nd dig Nick Jewell a 100* Hodge 66*[great game]

Will HODGE or SYMONDS replace WATSON for the 1st test? I think Royboy.
