Probably coz the BBL competition is going backwards and they know they won’t be able to attract any decent players going forward
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

In a Big Bash first, a player-pick trade has been made. Fast bowler Wes Agar has been traded to the Sydney Thunder, with the two clubs also swapping second-round draft picks.
The BBL|14 draft order hasn't been confirmed, however the Strikers have obtained the Thunder's higher second round selection (pick 9-12 pending a weighted lottery) in exchange for Agar and Adelaide's second round selection (pick 13-16).

That doesn't make any sense because domestic players aren't in the draft unless I've missed something
Dave Warner will be missed!
