Can't fit them all, that is how brilliant they were.

Brilliant. As good as Clive was (my favorite cricketer from the 70’s) Logie would have had him in short form IMO.

TDK will have an erection when he reads this [emoji38]
Haha!
I know how good the Windies were in the 80s and 90s reading and hearing about them but I actually don't have a big emotional connection to them like you guys do given they were before my time but it's always great to learn more about them. Booneys piece of trivia is very interesting one yet sad.

They were always a very social bunch when in Adelaide ;)

Mate, youtube them. Seriously, THE best lineup of all time.

Test averages below.

Just think.... as an opening bowler, you bowl to Greenidge (av 44) and Haynes (av 42) and waltz into Viv Richards at three (av 50), then you breeze into Lloyd (av 46), into Alvin Kallicharan (av 44), Lawrence Rowe could hardly get a gig at that time and he averaged 43. Not many teams would beat that team, ever! When you consider bat technology, they'd hit 1000's!

And then there was the bowling through the eras, early on being Roberts, Croft, Garner, Holding, Daniel, (**** scary by all accounts), Marshall, then later Walsh, Bishop (injury prone) and Ambrose.

I really am disappointed that I didn't ever see Bradman bat but I'm really glad I saw this mob play because THEY are the benchmark.

I take no shame in saying my now estranged older sister would know this as well as anyone.

Greenidge came to my high school, he whacked a pad on and all the older kids were trying to bowl bouncers at him he got the shits on and walked down to them and said "next one is going over into the f******* houses" as he pointed to the houses about 120 metres away.

He wasn't lying.

We had Peter Sleep come to our training when I was playing district juniors, we always had a rule at training of 3 in the air out the net and your batting session was over. Being a bit of a slapper and a young smartarse, I advanced down the pitch and belted him over his head the 3 balls he bowled to me, he was livid, my batting session was over after the 3rd but it was funny watching him go off at me.

What might an Australian team look like that have never played an International T20 match?

Slater
M Waugh
Jones
Lehmann
Border
S Waugh
O'Donnell
Healy
Warne
Fleming
McDermott

Gordon once signed to play Grade cricket for 5 games.

Scored 4 tons in 5 games and in one of them forced the cancellation of several Saturday afternoon Tennis matches at Memorial Drive as he was hitting bombs from Adelaide Oval No.2!

Good side.
Maybe Bevan or Damien Martyn for Lehmann?
Peter Taylor maybe as well somewhere

Martyn would be a walk up start, but played 4 T20 internationals.

Had a great ODI record, but I remember very little of him playing as I was around 5yo when he stopped. I reckon his last ODI was at the 83 WC.

First cricketer to 100 ODI wickets in 1982. Helped that Australia played so many ODIs in the early 80s post the reconciliation but still, ya dont just roll up and get the likes of Richards, Lloyd, Gower, Boycott, Botham, Khan, Dev, Greenidge, Miandad, Abbass, Gavaskar, Vengsarkar, and Haynes out

Bevan? His strike rate wasn't great if you compared it to today's standards. He excelled when 230 was a par ODI score.
