In front.

Every run vital. Not over yet.

We will see Burns again at Test Level. Fielding in the fourth innings.

Yep win, lose or draw I’d be dropping both Burns and Head.
Hopefully Warner is fit and ready.

I’d give Green the series to see how he goes.

Warner for Burns, who would you bring in for Head then?

A battle between head, wade and green to stay in.

Wade’s not a test opener so I’d bring Warner and Harris in and move Wade back where he should be at 5 with Green at 6.

as much as i hate to say it, Warner if fit has to come back in but has had no cricket now for some weeks, let alone 4 or 5 day cricket, cant do much worse than Burns and Smith currently

Where is Pucovski at? Has he been ruled out for the summer?

It'll only be one change - Warner for Burns.

Head will get once last shot in Sydney

Just quietly, Steve Smith hasn't scored a century since the Ashes back in Sept 2019.

Didn't you also back in Burns to have a huge series and lock away the opener role for the next 10yrs? :P

Wade’s not a test opener so I’d bring Warner and Harris in and move Wade back where he should be at 5 with Green at 6.

I was thinking that would be an option but I'm not sure if Langer and the selectors would make a double change at the top of the order?
I agree more with Bedge, Warner for Burns and Head to get another chance in the third test.

I haven't read anything about him being available or unavailable for the third test, he hasn't been ruled out for the summer as yet.

How has he scored all his runs at shield level

He was pretty impressive when he made a hundred for Australia A against pretty much the same attack he is facing today. Played shots off front and back feet and both sides of the wicket. Used his feet well to Ashwin. I know the Indians were probably going through the motions somewhat, but he looked pretty good. India at Test level is a massive step up. I'm sure if he plays against weaker attacks on flatter wickets you'll see a full array of shots. Give him time.

I personally enjoyed watching someone value his wicket and making sure he was still in at the end of the day with a lead for his team. Tomorrow might bring nothing but it could also be anything.

Worst dismissal today was Head

Burns out of form and got a Jaffa

Head’s shot choice and execution was of a Adelaide Turf LOD standard.

Gets bounced first ball and then pats Bumrah on the back and says good ball, As Terry Wallace once said “I ******* spew!”

Should be dropped and his paper stamped NTBPA.

Warner and Harris in

Burns and Head goneski

Head was poor today with his dismissal, but geez if he didn’t grit his teeth in the first innings the Aussies would’ve been in a lot more pain.

Need more from Smith too.

They day we think a gritty 38 until we get out to a soft catch in the gully is ZoK we should stop being a test nation.

He was in and set, his dismissal started the collapse

Heads performance this test was embarrassing, Wayne Phillips (the Victorian) looked more accomplished

You’re not dropping Head on this series performance surely?

I would, Wades shown heart, smash and Labaschagne have selection credits, green is the future. We can’t accept mediocrity in our top six and blokes who get out softly
