It's great we're not selecting injured players for a Test match.

Oh, wait....

Oh, wait....

I’m starting to think JL may not be the man for the job.

His “gushings” on the news last night were vomit provoking.

I'm glad people are starting to pick up on his tone.

I admired his G&D as a batsman, though he always came across as a bit of a dill when he spoke...... "you wouldn't be dead for quids".

He may well be very well qualified as a coach, and run some handy drills...... but when he talks, it sounds like garbage.

Just a suggestion, i mean you all dislike Langer now. Surely Warnie is a far better option

Depends who the other candidates are.

That would get Warnie off my TV
Generally he is pretty good and I rather listen to Foxtel than Channel 7
However his efforts in the Sydney test commentary box were poor
If Steve Waugh was captain of the commentary team he’d drop him for Brisbane

Some of Warnies thoughts are border line cricket genius.....he then spends the next twenty minutes trying to be the next ICC CEO of rule changes, followed by a stint of auditioning for the next Adelaide fringe followed by trying to make the front page of every paper in Australia with a controversial comment.....then back to a genius comment and repeat. Got to shuffle through far too much shit to get to the gold with Warney.

Surely Ponting? He's very switched on when you listen to him talk.

The list of people I would encourage Cricket Australia to place in the role of the head coach of the mens team ahead of Shane Warne would be substantial.

100% spot on

He's very hard to listen to

Gee Aust havent had a good record with likable coaches over a long period of time now.

Aust will flog an Indian C Grade side in the 4th Test with Warner , Wade , Harris all making runs and Green might actually take a wicket and all the cracks will be wall papered over and the ACB will have everyone think that everything is all honkry dorey

This is a quality article about the SCG test. It is quite long but goes to show the depth of knowledge and feel for the game that the journo has.

Yup, not a bad summary to get in the mood for today.
Interesting to note with that depth of knowledge and feel for the game he didn't mention Smith's scratching at the crease, as he knows it was a non-event.
