Can they even field a side
And Jadeja out as well as Vihari in doubt.
So India are missing : Kohli, Shami, Yadav, Sharma, Kumar, Rahul and now Bumrah, Jadeja and Vihari.

That's the equivalent of Australia having the following players missing .... Smith, Cummins, Hazlewood, Starc, Pattinson, Wade, Head and Green. I'm not sure we would beat anyone if they were missing. It's disappointing that both sides won't be anywhere near full strength because it's been a cracking series and we deserve a big finale.

Really didn't like the look of it.
Sure, stand and shadow bat, but to rub someone's batting marks out like he did just smacks of petulance.
Certainly not captaincy standard of behaviour.

And we all remember Gavaskar's behaviour when he was given out at the MCG in the summer of 80/81...

Why does he do any of the multitude of other weird things he does.
Shadow batting at home, twitching constantly, adjusting everything before each ball, etc.
I suspect a lot of it is a force of habit more than a conscious decision.
I wouldn't have scratched around the area where the batsman sets up, but to suggest its petulance and 'not captaincy behaviour' is implying there was malice in his actions, which I disagree with.

Absolutely, throw in the fact it was the last innings of the match so he wasn't he going to be batting on there again.

It smacks of arrogance.
Stay off the pitch at all times where possible when fielding.
Pretty simple.
