You really need to take 2 spinners to India. Based on what we have seen of late the pitches wont last 20 overs!

Khawaja should play before Finch in every single format ever.

Finch set to be Axed as T20 captain in favour of Smith

Makes sense to me.

Agree Smith should be skipper if he's playing. Would have understood that perhaps the break from captaincy might have been a benefit, but he seems like he's the type who thinks like a captain regardless so why not have him do it now that his spot is secure.

On Finch though, the bloke has an incredible record and is in sensational form. He is, IMHO, the second bloke picked after only M. Starc. Average is well north of the other batsmen and strike rate is only just behind one G. Maxwell. Definitely picked ahead of Warner and Khawaja. I'd be inclined right now to drop Warner for Usman. Although he made his name in T20, Warner really hasn't got the performances to put his position beyond doubt. Not to mention the difference in styles between Finch and Khawaja would make them an incredibly difficult duo to bowl to. Try as I might, I can't see any of them batting anywhere else.

i reckon Warner could comfortably bat at 3, i would love to see an order like

1. Finch
2. Khawaja
3. Warner
4. Smith
5. . . . . . . . .
6. Maxwell

Im a bit concerned about Smith as a 20/20 player to be honest. Never been super at that level. I know he is the captain now and very good at playing spin bowling but its a big tournament for him IMO/

Chris Lynn at 5? Or do you think he's not up to it at international level?

Probably will be Bailey.

Can't comment on his BBL stuff but reckon he looks real suspect against spin. Will get found out in India IMO

If Mitch Marsh isn't going as reported today (Im not sure why) then i think Watson has to go especially with Faulkner under a cloud as well.

As for taking NCN because he can bowl 145 clicks. Give me a spell! Hasn't played any cricket in 3 months and will get destroyed in India

Time for Paine to come in for Wade.

Better keeper which we need over there on slow low turning wickets, better bat as well. A no brainer for me

AUSTRALIA'S WORLD T20 SQUAD: Steve Smith (c), David Warner (vc), Ashton Agar, Nathan Coulter-Nile, James Faulkner, Aaron Finch, John Hastings, Josh Hazlewood, Usman Khawaja, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Peter Nevill, Andrew Tye, Shane Watson, Adam Zampa

Not sure who Lynn replaces though spargo. And as others have said, he was pretty suspect against spin.

He would have been behind smarsh anyway and they didn't even pick him.

The interesting one is NCN AGAIN. Not sure whose wang he has sucked to keep getting picked whilst injured. Him getting picked over Kane Richardson is terrible.

Agar over Boyce is another interesting one. They were never going to pick Lyon after the Indians smashed him everywhere but I though Boyce would play. Guess agars batting and fielding counted for something
