I can't believe we only just snuck over the line thanks to Jake Lehmann's last ball heroics but a win is a win.

For that reason I think unlikely there will be any big change with Ludeman.

Id say Ludeman was batting like it was a shield match but he made it to double figures

2015/16 Big Bash League

Postby RustyCage » Wed Jan 13, 2016 10:53 pm

At least channel 10's stuff up wasn't as bad as what happened in the Superbowl a few years back. Arizona was playing in the Superbowl and they'd just scored a touchdown to take the lead late in a game, and Arizona TV cut away to some guy waving his wang around.

If Tim Paine & the bowler set the field right it would have been down the long off fielder's throat....

Hard to believe there wasn't a fielder there.

The place went nuts after that shot. Amazing scenes.

Loaded up on the leg side thinking he would target the short boundary - throw in the 3rd man and sweeper on the cover boundary that's your 5.

Should've had a long off, but what's to say if they move one of them he doesn't manufacture a cover drive for 4 or runs it down 3rd man for 4?

Incredible result none the less, I'm still pumped haha!

So Strikers Twitter says we are guaranteed a home semi which is awesome but assuming we win both our final game and our semi are we also assured the Final if we finish top?

Yep - I heard them say last night that the host of the final is the team which finished higher at the end of the "minor" round

it was my second game at the BBL. The first was washed out, about this time last year, so I can't really count that one.

The organisers really do a fantastic job of the event. It's like one big outdoor party with a game of cricket breaking out in the midst of it.

Getting drink and food was easy, the toilets weren't too bad and the kids were pretty much entertained from go to woe.

I don't know if I'd go again though. The one thing I found really annoying, was that there weren't replays of close calls or dismissals. The obvious reason for that is as I said, it's a party interrupted by cricket. Not my ideal but obviously it is for thousands. My kids loved it and were among the throng who rose as one when Lehmann hit the winning runs.

After the first two "horns", not sure a fully down leg side was the best ball to bowl by Hilfy....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Mark Waugh "Yeah that's Plum

How the f@ck could that have been anything but out, he is lucky Waugh cut him off. Howie has no idea and annoys the piss out of me. Embarrasses himself when he opens his mouth when he strays from what's being fed in his ear piece. Little pissant needs to shut up and just relay the stats and producers messages.
