Australia v Windies - Test series

What is terrible is the scheduling of this Test.

The Sydney Test, with very good reason, has become the "Pink Test" and is an important day for many Australian families as they support Breast cancer patients, raising much needed funds for an excellent initiative.

To program this Test ( or indeed any Test ) to start on a Sunday, the day before the bulk of the population heads back to work after two weeks off is terrible timing by CA. It doesn't give the McGrath Foundation the exposure it deserves with a bumper crowd, nor does it bode well for a big crowd any day of the match.

So while it's the cricket people are there for, how many people would have been able to attend yesterday, today, tomorrow etc?

Greed by CA to cram as much cricket into one summer as they can. No need for it.

How many more times do we have to hear about the Nerds and the Julios, and Dizzy's Happy Gilmore impersonation?

While McGrath does loads of great work away from the game I find him excruciating to listen to. He's not very insightful, does a lot of talking like he's in the change room with the lads and isn't much chop for mine. Great bowler, exceptional human, rubbish commentator.

Greed or scheduling? The Windies don't want to be here any longer than they have to be, so the less down days the better for them.

Loving the cricket.com live stream at the moment- WI v Aus at Adelaide Oval, DK Lillee having a beer on the fence. The great Clive Lloyd gets a ton in this game

PS, the live stream is free at the moment....

Why couldn't the test have started Saturday?

Melinda Farrell and Neroli Meadows gave really strong thoughts on the issue.
One of them actually got quite emotional, which will be condemned by some.
They also indicated that Chris Gayle is continually disrespectful to female cricket reporters.
Chris Rogers also expressed distaste for Gayle's personality, which is very unusual for a fellow player to do.

Chris Rogers is a well know cricket "Nuffie". Chris Gayle the complete opposite. It understandable he would say something Like that.

Channel 10 and Channel 9 - it annoys the crap out of me how blokes like Warne, Slater, Taylor etc want to dribble on about random crap that has nothing to do with the game and just have a chat amongst themselves.. Channel 10 aren't much better!

Agree, it's no wonder the players act like clowns when the commentators aren't any better

I get the big bash is meant to be a lot more light hearted/entertaining etc compared to test cricket but they go way to far
