As much as that was a disgrace there is a positive from that and its Marsh at 6.

1st 27, 3
2nd 87, 47

Not a bad start to a test career. I think he will be a handy bowler when there is a bit more in the pitch. He would take the pressure of Watson (assuming a return) as the allrounder.

But credit to Pakistan.

Pakistan also in 3rd spot on the ICC test rankings. A good result for them.

i really enjoyed watching this series. obviously not because australia got pumped, but i thought the pakistanis played extremely well, and with enthusiasm.

i also enjoyed watching marsh and smith and warner bat, if only the rest of the team could do as well

something isn't right with clarke surely. he looked very out of sorts

That's a good point ... if the result was the other way around that's what a few would have thought.

This is the team that should be playing now

Watson

To make up the squad
Boyce
Muirhead
Logan
Maxwell[but only as the reserve wicket keeper]

I think that's a good eleven on 'sub-continent' conditions. We just don't think outside the square enough on these kinds of tours and haven't done so historically. Only the very greatest of Australian teams can go over 'there' and win matches. Even at our peak we struggled to put the Indians away in particular.
