Was a better limited overs player than Shield cricketer IMO. No shortage of experience in the SA side any more neither. A win/win move I reckon. Good luck in WA.

Well I think we are going to miss Klinger's ability to compile a double ton over 2 days, but that will be offset by Cossie's ability to be back in the sheds with a hundred before lunch on day 1
Can't blame Klinger for his decision either, first SACA sack him as captain for a questionable Overseas all-rounder then they bring back an opener that they cast off interstate 4 seasons ago and probably expected him to take less money for it....

Klinger still had a year left in his contract but they offered him two years

BUT
Will be 34 at the start of next season
Wont be as big a loss in the SS as some might think
Has been an abject failure far too many times in away games the last 2 seasons
A couple of big scores on King William Road last season have disguised his many batting failures of recent times
