SACA membership

Postby NFC » Mon Oct 07, 2013 8:22 pm

Is it worth getting this season? $330 (now that I'll cop a late fee) hardly seems good value given the Ryobi Cup has been stuffed so right there we lose 4 matches. Big Bash is overrated.

I figure with the new stands being completed early next year, general admission tickets will be easier to come by with great views.

What would I be missing out on? Ashes, priority access to WC matches (see above point). Would I be able to sign up again say next year or will I be added to a massive waiting list, or do I get recognized given I've been a member until this year?

I keep renewing mine but these days it just seems to be a donation.
Shield games are FREE
Ryobi Cup games are NO LONGER HERE
Big Wank Bash is utter ******* SHIT
That leaves a Test match and ODI or two.

Hardly seems worth it.

Is it any cheaper without the ryobi cup? I can't believe it's no longer in adelaide. To be honest I enjoy going to the ryobi cup more than test matches/ODI...can't believe that robbed the supporters without consultation.
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

No reduction in costs at all.

Members should be asking the question at the next AGM as to why that is the case. At a minimum the SACA should be advocating that the old format return or reduce our Memberships as we are getting less bang for our buck....

I've just signed up as a member when the ultimate packages fell through, but lately have been thinking a bit along these lines as well. Definitely be worth it for the Ashes this year. Probably the SANFL GF too, but obviously not hard to get a ticket.

Can you suspend your membership for a year, or does that have a deadline on it?

You can be absent if you go interstate or o/s for a period of 3 years for a small fee (4th year to have to pay full subscription.)

Pretty sure you can't suspend it for a year and jump back on.

Seeing as 80-90% of members don't seem to attend RYOBI anyway, I doubt very highly they will adjust prices.

On another note, it would be nice if they actually sent us our membership cards soon.

You know you don't have to buy a membership, don't you? Given how dastardly SACA are, I'm surprised you haven't handed yours back.

Wouldn't want to give up your membership with a packed 2014/15 season

Adelaide Oval will get
4 Australian ODI's (if Australia make Semi finals of World Cup )
1 Australian T20I
3 non Australia World Cup matches
And the test match
