Ed Cowan to Captain Austraila

I've just heard that ED Cowan will Captain Australia in the tour match against sussex. Surly this is a joke? The guy is under enough pressure as it is to keep his spot so they make him skipper!
Looks like they are setting him up to fail IMO.

The team he is captaining barely contain any first class players let alone test players (might be a little harsh)
Who else would captain, looks like Travis Head might also come into the team to replace Usman
Ed Cowan (capt), Phil Hughes, Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith, Matthew Wade, James Faulkner, Ashton Agar, Ashton Turner, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Jackson Bird.
