Lets hope the Aussie batsmen put in an improved effort, and we can square the ledger at 1-1.

Bit of a heatwave of sorts here at the moment so not surprised the pitch is dry but the forecast is predicting thunderstorms this evening/overnight so anything could happen.

I think if possible the bowling lineup should remain unchanged with the only change being Cowan out for Warner (unlikely to happen) or I am your Kwaja. Bit of stability in the team might go a long way to giving the team confidence they can beat the Poms.

Need at the very least a draw out of this test, a loss here and it would almost be time to start tinkering to find out the best line up for the home tests.

I'll be surprised if England don't drop Steve Finn for this one. He was a liability in the 1st Test and Tim Bresnan or Graham Onions should replace him.

Yep they may like the option of a left hander with the slope.
They certainly took to Finn in the second innings.

Starc is the only bowler that can trouble Pieterson and Trott early. Expect a big one from one of those 2 this test.

Heard Pup on the radio before. His voice sounded very husky. Wouldn't be surprised if he's got a bit of a flu.

Not a fan of Starc bein dropped.
Thought he was close to our best bowler in the first test.
Looked to give the most trouble to Trott
Also like the variety of a leftie
Cowan had to go, time for Khawaja to stand up and cement a spot.

Agreed, Starc got 2 double breakthroughs which set us up to have a chance of rolling them

cowan and Usman doesnt bother me and I like that Ryno has a shot but I would have played Starc

Agree thought Starc was our best bowler that test and to be honest none of the bowlers deserved to be dropped on that performance imho

In saying that Harris is a very good replacement and as I mentioned pre series I thought Harris would get a run as I have heard Lehmann say numerous times he rates a fully fit Harris as one of the best bowlers in the world.

Glad to see Cowan gone his a plodder

Starc's spell at the start of day 4 was poo and would have really hurt his chances.

His good is great but his average is sh!te. Typical left armer.

The difference between Starc's good overs and bad overs is to big. Bowls some unplayable balls but then releases the pressure by bowling to many '4' balls. Still has a lot to offer the series/team. Very tough call.

Yeah Starc has that X factor about him, can bowl the unplayable delivery which no body else in our attack can produce. In saying that- Harris isnt the worst replacement, durability is a concern though.

Khawaja had to come in for Cowan- no brainer that one.

With Pattinson and Harris in the same team, chance Siddle will be the only pace bowler left standing with both so injury prone.

Second innings, Siddle and Smith to open the bowling
