NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE

Phil Hughes last year!

Zampa this year!

Finally SACA getting their act together

Good Work.

Will be interesting to see how his used though especially considering you would think Botha will still be the number one spinner in the shield. It didnt really work at the start of the year with two spinners.

Going to cause selection issues when Lyon is available for the Redbacks.

You can't play 3 spinners at AO

Maybe the Redbacks are going to play some "home games" in India?

Agree!

Even the two spinners failed last year, it wasnt until Lyon went into the Aussie Squad we started winning games in the shield.

Maybe their planning on playing 3 paceman and 2 spinners with Botha batting at 7.

Agree

Like Hughes this is one of those recruitments that even if it fails i dont think anyone can really bag SACA about recruiting him.

I think most posters on here would have taken him given half a chance and he fits the model of looking for a player 'on the up' who has had limited oppurtunities but has done well with the chances he has had.

Should change the title to 2013/14 state cricket news

Dan Christian is expected to ask for a release from his contract to move to Queensland,
Aaron Finch is going to sign with NSW so he can play SS
And Andrew McDonald has asked to be released from his Victorian contract so he can sign with the Redbacks

Perhaps the drop in wickets will all be dustbowls?

McDonald would be a huge asset.

Having that extra peaceman will be extremely handy when we play two quicks and two spinners at home.

McDonald will bat 5, Ferg 4 and head 6.

Sides starting to look better. Just need our openers to stand up and it's looking a lot better.
