Who gives a **** about a questionnaire. What an embarressment. Would love to see the captain overturn this decision and say that he doesn't support the current structure of Australian cricket. Warne was right. Hodge was right. Lehmann was right. Bunch of muppets

Shane W: 1) Get a start 2) Convert start to ton 3) bowl some overs
James P: 1) Get the most wickets of any quick 2) bowl the most overs of any quick 3) not break down (oh wait)
Usman K & Mitchell J: 1,2&3: Get a game
How ******* hard was that.

Other reports say the decision was made by the team hierarchy.

I'd say your right, but surely he can't see eye to eye with Arthur et. al. on this one. Must be more to it because surely there is no synergy between questionnaires responses and selection.....call me simple but I hate this crap.

However, as of Monday morning the four players, including the vice-captain Watson, had neglected to comply. Arthur, captain Michael Clarke and team manager Gavin Dovey met and discussed how to handle the situation and decided that it needed to be a "line-in-the-sand moment".
it seems Clarke was a part of that decision yes

Its a job, requirement of the job was to complete a questionnaire and apparently the four players haven't completed the questionnaire as required. Some sort of message needs to be sent because obviously the players aren't figuring it out themselves. its a long fall from the top of the pile and australia is quickly reaching the bottom.

the punishment doesn't fit the "crime"

If the team had been playing well, I think a private slap on the wrist might have been the punishment. But when everyone is under pressure, strange things happen in an attempt to rectify the situation. Be interesting to see the result

Bit harsh on Johnno and Patto, who expects fast bowlers to be able fill out a questionnaire?
