Shane Keith Warne

Time to retire gracefully and accept that your days in the spotlight are over.
Seriously he was one of my heroes once, now he's just a walking billboard for crappy facial surgery and hair products.
He has truly squeezed every last ounce of talent from his body and now only has his mouth left to use.
Sorry mate times up

Yeah Warney is on a slippery slope going from hero to old wanker. He should quit while he is ahead and just live a nice comfy life and shut the feck up.

Neil Harvey's appointed successor as past player who thinks he knows better. All forms of media will rejoice they'll have a go to man when there is a slow cricket news day.

Yeah that's a good angle. Is he playing in the IPL carnival? If so you can bet he will get a headline or two.

Always has been controversial. Probably best to not follow him on Twitter and take his Twenty20 appearances with a grain of salt. Then watch this video and remember how lucky we were to watch him play!

My problem isn't the fact he has an opinion, but the method in which he chooses to purvey that message. If he's really got a gripe with Cricket Australia then ask for a meeting with them and discuss the issues face to face. I'm sure, given his standing in the industry they'd allow him to have a one on one with Cricket Australia officialdom.

And I bet, 100%, he wouldn't call an ex Wallaby a "muppet" face to face.

I follow Warnie on and twitter and yeah he can be controversial but most of the time I can't help but agree with him. Makes some very good points in regards to the Aussie cricket team.

Although his twitter stuff is average, i think Warne coming out and saying what he thinks about the Cricket Australia set up currently is a good thing. He is passionate about Australian cricket and hopefully he can get some change happening. Most of you have been calling for the changes he will point out are required so you should be supporting him.

If anything Warne needs to become more involved in Australian Cricket, stop his acting career that is the BBL/IPL etc become the full time spin coach or work in some official capacity. That way his message will be better recieved by the powers that run the sport in this country

Lol, I don't really pay attention to all that, just the stuff he posts about cricket.

Agreed FS, he's a very passionate man and obviously still gives a crap about our performance. And yes from what I've read the changes to the team people on here call for are often backed up by Warnie.

One of the smartest cricket people I have read about, or heard people talk about is Stephen Fleming. Wouldn't be a bad bloke to have involved, but this is the guy who gave us McGain and Beer, and who is the bowler's version of Brad Hodge.
