6 weeks away for nearly a million dollars is better than 6 months away for not even half of that. Hussey had reasons to retire...ie clarke being a giant douche.
The franchises don't care about winning, Clarke will get people through the door as he is a big name. The owners of the teams want some return on their investment. He will go for a buckload of cash.
