PM's XI vs West Indies

RETIRED great Ricky Ponting will lead the Prime Minister's XI in its one-day clash against West Indies later this month.

Ponting will captain the side at Manuka Oval in Canberra on January 29.

Former Test keeper Brad Haddin will act as vice-captain.

Saw on the news tonight the West Indian team meeting the PM.

Just watching the windies bat, and it looks like Australia has it's own chucker, young Turner the off spinner. How do these players get this far without someone saying something.

Hang on. Australia have a spinner who would be close to the best in the country, and he has only been a citizen for 1 day. Pick him for the India tour.

Only seen a little bit of him tonight but he's bowled well.

Well bowled by Faulkner, love the old back of the hand slower ball. I was a little surprised to see him playing tonight after playing for Australia last night.
