There is so much negativity surrounding the Redbacks at the minute, but surely there is light at the end of the tunnel, a glimmer of hope, something to hold our hats on.

Here is the place to talk about that.

Redbacks - the positives

After so many thumping a lately, it was good to see the Redbacks fight it out for the whole four days. Yes, we should have gotten first innings points but if we take that fight into each game good things will start to happen.

Another big positive was the innings of Ferguson. He is a very good player with a big upside, hopefully now he will start showing it. We know he is good enough.

MODS- Can we ban Jim05 and OL from this thread?

I guess one positive that the above posters might come up with is, every game we play we are getting closer to appointing our new coach ;)

1: For the first time since whenever some of us actually had a belief that we'd win.
2: If we didn't declare we may of won.
3: We lost the same amount of wickets as the opposition in the 1st dig for almost the same amount of runs.
4: We declared.

Fair call. There is one thread on here for venting about the coach, use that for that purpose, please keep this one on topic.

Thanks

Definately some positives there LM.

I think if the side is given the opportunity to play a bit of cricket together, It might just see us snare 1st innings points, and when a win eventually comes along, who knows what level of confidence the group will take out of it.

We were competitive for 4 days against QLD.....which is more than we can say for our opening 2 shield games.

There are some positives
The signing of Phil Hughes is one of the best things SACA has done this millenium.
Just need to go after another 2-3 gun recruits next season and we will start to see results
