Remember this... an extract from page 12 of the SACA members infomation booklet issued just prior to the vote for the AO redevelopment.
"It is intended that AO Ultimate memberships will be slightly cheaper than SACA and SANFL memberships purchased separately"
And look at this article... suggestions that the cost will be $900-$1000
http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/oval-member-package-offers-exclusive-access/story-e6frea83-1226448288610At present, SACA is $300 and SANFL is $455. So, even allowing for a very generous 5% CPI increase for each of the next two years that would be about $70-$170 over the odds. (btw, the CPI figure for items covered by the ABS definition of "recreation and culture" is actually in decline by about 1.3%)
And LOL that they compare it to a "similar" MCG package - a package which is currently $609 and which features several AFL games each week, and quite a lot more cricket over the average summer (and has better reciprocal priviledges at other venues).
SMAC and Dutchy might like to start the discussion on this since they were so much in favour of the idea...

Perhaps wait for the SACA and SANFL membership costs before assuming they 'lied'. Perhaps you are incorrect with your assumption on those costs?
But feel free to point out as much as you can, they've kept the demolition rubble so they can rebuild the old facilities.

Well, the SACA costs were detailed up to 2014 in the same handout... $300+CPI
And I'm not assuming thet lied.
Why are you such a puppet for the SMA anyway?

White (albino) elephants were regarded as holy in ancient times in Thailand and other Asian countries. Keeping a white elephant was a very expensive undertaking, since the owner had to provide the elephant with special food and provide access for people who wanted to worship it. If a Thai King became dissatisfied with a subordinate, he would give him a white elephant. The gift would, in most cases, ruin the recipient.
Thanks Mr Rann.

MCC has always been better value than SACA
I chucked my 30 year SACA membership in a few years ago after getting a feral response from the former CEO when I politely complained about the value and, especially, the ridiculous entrance fee for juniors which was nothing short of price gouging. I continued to campaign against the entrance fee and it was eventually dropped, but the "dear" former CEO remains on my $hit list to this day.

I thought they immediately chucked the chairs and Chappell shades away so Gerard couldn't get them for Adelaide United

I'll take your word for it on the handout, I threw mine out long ago I stead of retaining it as a checklist. Every thought of being on the Grade Cricket Committee? You'd fit right in.
Not sure what memberships have to do with AOSMA, but I really love puppets. Thunderbird was great.

Did you even look at the article???
"At this stage, the cost for this level of membership being considered by the Stadium Management Authority (SMA) is between $900 and $1000 a year"You're stupider than Idaho. More like Alabama

Not really, means I'd probably have to deal with people like you.

I did mention The cost rise about a year ago(saca members were shown the price ranges) and was told I was selfish and holding the state back.
Even though price of going to afl football is a concern now.
Adelaide oval is a disaster. $600 mill and you have to catch a bus to the ground.
Enjoy!!!

And there I was thinking I might have to sit next to Pipers and UK Fan at the cricket and listen to them whinge all day, thankfully now that will not happen and the true fans of cricket and footy in the State can enjoy what is going to be an outstanding facility, with a state of the art view of two of the best games going around. And yes, I am pleased that my vote was "Yes", I might go now and whinge on the BHP forum, cause my house at Roxby ain't going to be worth a million dollars like I thought.
SMAC - very naughty, remember your view of the world is only 1 view, to continually downgrade the Grade Cricket Committee, which incidently is full of people who have played a s..t load more cricket and at a far higher standard than you and some with considerable business acumen. I might pass on your thoughts to Mr Kimber. Cricket in this State is not all about you and those that sit alongside you all day.
