The Queensland fast bowler Alister McDermott is set to follow his father Craig in becoming an international cricketer after being added to the squad for Australia's ODIs against Pakistan in the UAE. McDermott has replaced Clint McKay for the one-day portion of the tour after McKay suffered a hamstring strain during an intra-squad practice match at Australia's team camp in Darwin at the weekend.

Steve Rixon, Australia's fielding mentor, will take over as head coach for the one-day internationals against Afghanistan and Pakistan in the UAE to allow Mickey Arthur to focus on preparations for the World ICC Twenty20. Arthur will return to head coaching duties for the T20 leg of the UAE trip, which is followed closely by the world tournament in Sri Lanka.

First ODI v Pakistan tonight
Australia have made one change from the side that beat Afghanistan, leaving out their frontline spinner Xavier Doherty. The allrounder Daniel Christian will take his place, meaning plenty of seam-bowling options for Michael Clarke, while the spin duties will be shared by Glenn Maxwell, David Hussey and Clarke himself. It remains to be seen whether Matthew Wade will open or be moved down the order to give him some respite from the heat.

I woke up at 4:30 this morning and endured some big tank going off on Bridezilla's before I realized the cricket was on live, is Michael Hussey Australia's most selfish player? Absolutely plumb as, hitting 3 qtr's of the way up middle and reviews it.........................once again, to no avail. He does this just about every time he is adjudged lbw, hit the ball son.
The Aussies won by 4 wickets with 10 balls to spare, Clarke 66(96), Bailey57*(88) steered us home along with Maxwell 38(38) to take us from 4/67 to 6/199 in the end.
Starc MOTM.

Big call.... He has played many, many selfless innings for his country... surely his batting partner should give him some feedback on reviews.
