New Zealand have named their 30-man preliminary squad for the ICC World Twenty20, and it features only two men without international experience. The Canterbury batsman George Worker and the Auckland batsman Anaru Kitchen are the only players in the group who have not represented New Zealand in any format.

There were no major surprises in the squad, which does not feature Jesse Ryder, who no longer holds a New Zealand Cricket contract and is attempting to manage his off-field issues before being considered for national selection again. Daniel Vettori was included after coming out of his international T20 retirement earlier this year.

Jacques Kallis has made a return to South Africa's T20 plans after being included in the list of 30-man preliminary squad for the World T20 in Sri Lanka this September. Kallis last played as a regular member of the team in May 2010 during South Africa's tour of the West Indies. However, he took part in the only T20 game against India in March 2012 - a match played in his honour. Graeme Smith, who was dropped for the three-match T20 series against New Zealand in February, has also been included in the squad.

Jacques Kallis is set to make a Twenty20 international comeback, having been selected in the South Africa squad that will travel to Sri Lanka for the World Twenty20 in September. Kallis was last a regular member of the side in mid-2010, during South Africa's tour of the West Indies.

AB de Villiers will lead the squad. Graeme Smith, who was picked in the 30 probables, has not made the final 15.

The fast bowler Adam Milne has been named in New Zealand's squad for the ICC World Twenty20, 18 months after he last played for his country. The ICC has extended the deadline for naming the World Twenty20 squads, although the chances of Kevin Pietersen being included for England remain very slim.

The original deadline was Saturday but boards have now been given until August 24 to submit their 15-man lists for the tournament which begins on September 18, after the ICC received requests "from several of its members".

Richard Muzhange, the 21-year old Mid West Rhinos medium-pacer, is the only new face in the 15-man Zimbabwe squad for the ICC World Twenty20 to be led by Brendan Taylor.

Brian Vitori, the left-arm fast bowler, is the only other member of the squad yet to play a Twenty20 international, although he's already represented his country in Tests and ODIs.
