As a Rate payer of the West Torrens Council I'm livid as when he died there was a media story on how the council declined to contribute funds for a memorial as it was to be placed at the West Torrens Cricket Club's current home ground at Henley Oval which is outside their boundaries.

They have decided to place a memorial of their own where Hookesy made a name for himself yet some low life has decided to chase some easy $$$$. Dog Act

The funny thing is, you steal something like that to sell it right?
The only people who would pay for that are cricket lover right?
A cricket lover would rip your head off for doing this.

Be melted down for the metal value by now, time to commission a replacement.
