Lyon on after only 11 overs.
Windies 0/24.

Pitch is grassless offering little to the pacemen.

Reckon that was a plan from the skipper given rhino's reaction.

Good start from the windies. This Brathwaite doesn't look much chop but he's still there.

Bowlers just struggling for a good line on a pitch that's not doing a lot. Hilf in particular looking out of sorts. Mcdermott's been down to have a chat to him on the boundary line. Watson will probably get his overs in the next session.

1/60 at lunch.

Chanderpaul might be tough to get out on this pitch!

haha, Yeah, Chanderpaul could bat for 3 days on this pitch.
He definitely would've a few years ago but is past his best now although i'm sure he's got a few more marathon innings in him yet.

Great start by the Windie boys we just need to make sure we turn it into a 400+ score.

Aussie fielding was very ordinary, too many dropped catches.
Siddle bowled well again and was impressed by Warner's variety.
If we get a wicket early we will run through them.

Chanderpaul averages more in his last 30 Tests (57) than his career (50).

He is still very much their main man. I love watching him bat, the man values his wicket.

Darren Bravo is the most important player for the west Indies. Scores lots of runs and can generally do it quickly. Will show how much they are improving throughout.this.series and should be no surprise if they win at least one test.

Well one would hope so, he is playing Test cricket as a batsman after all. ;)

Good to see the Windies batsmen applying themselves to the task of batting overs which is the key to success at this level.
Having said that, the pitch is a road although the occasional ball has kicked a bit. The unflappable Chanderpaul copped one on the gloves,
Windies 3/224. Bravo 42* Chanderpaul 29*
