No-one deserves that accolade more the S.K. Warne. The biggest travesty of justice is that he was never Test captain of Australia.

Michael Clarke wins Test Player of the Year. Rod Marsh hands Clarke the Test Player of the Year Award, the skipper narrowly beating Ricky Ponting, Michael Hussey and rookie James Pattinson.

Clarke finishes on 231 votes, well clear of Hussey on 174, Watson 166 and Ponting 141. James Pattinson was fifth.
