Does mal owe this guy an apology?

Said he would never become anything, too slow, not threatening...

Took 7/24 today.

FC average: 24.50
List A average: 22.92

Still only 20. ;)

Who's got his records away from the Gabba greentop?

Not trying to shitcan the bloke, but it's a lot easier to take wickets away from Adelaide and Sydney.

FWIW, I think he's a Test player of the future.

Can anyone recall a local news article featuring a South Australian son of dispatching Alister to all parts of the ground in an underage carnival???

Where is that South Australian son of now you ask? He is scoring doughnuts for Glenelg in Grade cricket

The lad must be utilising his access to the national bowling coach

Only played a few shield games so not sure of his record away from the GABBA. The kid is only 20, we will see a lot more of him

I hope he takes wickets away from home, if he continues to develop, the foursome for the next decade could be completed

Cummins, Pattinson, McDermott, Lyon :D

After taking the first 7 wickets, Broad dropped a relatively easy chance which would have given him a 8 fa, anything could have happened after that

And Starc, and Cutting (who took 7 on return in this match). Our bowlings stocks have never been healthier.

Watto when fit, Hilfenhaus ans Siddle will join Bollinger in running through FC teams as elder statesmen.

Now to find a couple of replacements for Hussey and Ponting for down the track, and all is good!!!

Must have been impressive yesterday. Give him plenty of time to develop rather than rushing him into the Australian team. We saw Cummins play two tests and he has not been seen since.

Dont forget Josh Hazelwood. Will probably be the best out of the lot! INjuries have set him back a bit

Spot on, posted that a while ago, Hazelwood looked the pick of the bunch before injury.
Are well blessed in the bowling department, need to find some talent with the bat now. Forrest looks the best ATM

1 Test?

Yeah he's not ahead of Siddle or Hilf yet, these guys could have a couple of years in them before becoming Shield dominators, but it's good to see another youngster put their hand up!

Will be interesting to see how McDermott progresses.

If he was from Ind/SL/Pak he would be fast tracked into their test/one day side and not left to spend years at domestic level.

I wonder how long it will be until we see him in the Aus side, while his inform i wouldnt seeing him have a crack in the one day side.

Might snake into our next T20 team, that seems to be the current pathway

It's a good start but let the kid have one consistent season before getting him in national colours.

With our current bowling line up having problems staying on the park its nice to have options waiting for their opportunity
