Sri Lanka tour of Australia starts on Feb 3 with a match against the PM's XI
Prime Minister's XI squad; Brad Haddin (capt & wk), Peter Forrest (vice-capt), Wes Robinson, Mitchell Marsh, Adam Voges, Kurtis Patterson, Dean Solway, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Ben Cutting, Michael Nesser, Nathan Lyon, Aaron Ayre (12th man)
For me I cannot understand why Adam Voges would be in this side??

Why is Tom Cooper not getting a game?!

Couter-Nile and Cutting I think are good selections. Two blokes I rate as quicks.
Forrest, Robinson and Mitch Marsh deserve the gig.
Patterson had a great knock first up on debut, test him against a better side, see where the technique is at.
Adam Voges- I agree... Why?
Brad Hackin- Has spudded up, I would be keener to see Matt Wade play, hit a hundred, then take the keepers spot.
Dean Solway- He's the obligatory ACT spud isn't he?
Michael Neser- This bloke is taking Mitchell Starc's spot.
Nathan Lyon- Why does our first choice incumbent spinner play in this carp?
Tom Cooper was just about the next batsman in when the Big Bash started. Forrest and Mitch Marsh have overtaken him on hit and giggle form.
Dan Christian was in the Test squad for the first couple of Tests, was damn close to playing, has lost no form, and can't even get a run here.
Klinger and Townsend (and Forrest) are the only batters with over 500 runs in the domestic four-day comp. Where are they?
Michael Hogan and Jayde Herrick lead the Shield wicket taking with 32 wickets each. Where are they when this is on? Instead Neser, who is about 42nd in the queue, and that is being generous, gets a game.
The answer to these deserving players? They are in the Big Bash... FFS!

SA vs Vic Feb 2-5 would be the reason no one from those states are in there
And Lyon could be playing the 1st T20 international on Feb 1st against India but he is obviously not playing in the 2nd T20 Int as that is on the 3rd

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australia-v ... 50035.html"I felt mentally and physically drained," Haddin told Sky Sports Radio. "It didn't feel right during the warm-up. How I felt, I just thought, 'Oh no, this doesn't look good'. I thought in Perth things were going well. I spent a lot of time catching leading into Perth, probably hit too many balls. You've just got to find that right balance." A bloke admits to being physically and mentally drained yet they make him captain of the team to play in a tour match... smart move!
What would their motives be? Maybe remove the possibly of having the incumbent keeper push his case further and add to the demise of Haddin? Surely an up and coming keeper should be playing?
Any thoughts?

In all fairness to Haddin he's a very talented cricketer who has been a magnificent first class player for a long time. He has a lot to teach no doubt.
As for his own playing, he was for a while a very good part of the test side. But now with his age if he goes it will be for good. I don't mind the selectors making sure they get everything they can out of him before moving on. It's also not a bad way to blood other guys with someone strong and experienced alongside them. I'm not sure what other cricket there is, but if there are ODI and first class matches happening then they might prefer some of the players likely to be in our second best 11 to play in those matches instead of an A tour. These tours after all aren't so much about winning but about improving the #1 side.
