Keiron Pollard

Postby cripple » Thu Jan 12, 2012 11:59 am

Keiron Pollard has just hit a 14 ball 50 in the Carribbean T20 competition. It included a 19th over that went 666606, with the 5th ball lucky not to go the journey as well.

Goes to show what the strikers missed out on with his injury.

Thought he was injured for the duration of the whole of our tournament?

He was only contracted for the first 4 games of the BBL, so he could play in his home T20 tournament.

Keiron Pollard

Postby test » Thu Jan 12, 2012 12:28 pm

Can't understand why we would recruit a guy unable to play finals, no faith in the squad to make them? He would be our best player by the length of main north road, our only all rounder, why wouldn't we spend the money on a high priced recruit that would last the duration of the tournament??

Did Gilchrist or McGrath make themselves unavailable for this tournament? Surely everyone has their price ;)

They were saying fastest 50 was 12 balls by Yuvraj Singh when he hit 6 sixes off of Stuart Broad in 2007. Amazing thing about Pollards tonight is that he only got out there in the 16th over.

thought that was the case.
anyone who has a spare couple of minutes, should search the yuvraj innings on youtube, that's about all it would take. Great striking.
