BIG Bash Not including Adelaide Strikers games 2011-2012

8/138 Brisbane Heat [20] v Sydney Strikers
Hayden 29 [28] too old too slow with legs and bat, but good to see him baaaaaaaack
Christian 32 [22] how the hell is he playing for them , one of the best 20/20 cricketers in the world
Robinson 22 [12] impressive
Forrest 16[14] too slow, not a 20/20 player
Hopes 18[20] not quick enough , good opening bat, but Matty is taking his spot
Mccullum 5[12] and a broken snout courtesy of Binga Lee

Macgill 2/21 [4] brilliant spin bowling performance, heez baaaaack

Sydney Strikers 8/139 [18.4]
Haddin 76 [59] poetry in motion, and man of the match
Lumb 18[12] they say he is good, Ive not seen it yet
Maddinson 28[32] spent the night giving Haddin the strike , does not appear to be a 20/20 cricketer
Christian 1/20 [4] outstanding and got Haddin out

My votes tonight

3 Haddin
2 Christian
1 Macgill

Brisbane can improve if they get back
Harris
Vettori
Cutting

They should be replacing
Hayden
Forrest
Buchanan

But Matty is a draw card in this fantasy comp, so he will be picked

Sydney Strikers cant win this comp
Brisbane a chance if they get their full team in

Disagree on Maddison. He played a team role last night and batted well. 28 (32) and gave the strike to haddin. Did well IMO

Which he did very well rotating the strike for Haddin with many singles
Will reserve a complete judgement when he is asked to slog in future matches
When he did have a lash late in his innings he lacked power and I think he is better suited to the longer forms of cricket

Sydney Thunder Defeats the Melbourne Stars by 6 Wickets. Dave Warner with a brilliant 102* with something like 6-7 sixes.

My votes would be:

3- Warner
2- Hussey
1- Coyte

MELB STARS 7/153[20]
D HUSSEY 52 [27] got run out, but what a sensational innings
WRIGHT 27*[20] The England International batted ok

SYD THUNDER 4/154[19]
WARNER 102 *[54] one of the greatest 20/20 innings Ive seen by an Australian
REST 49[63] all the rest had to do was get David on strike
FAULKNER 1/20[4] bowled extremely well to Warner, and bamboozled Gayle
WARNE 0/19 [2] bowling to his near namesake was too much for the old champ, he will improve
What a buzz when it was Warne and Warner tonight !

4/115
Warner was 76[38]
A party trick by the soccering Wade had Warner run out
No one appealed
Warner was out !

my votes

3 WARNER
2 D HUSSEY
1 FAULKNER

Coyte did bowl very well , but was just pipped by Faulkner

Makes a mockery of the concept,a SA player playing for another team
I reckon it has put some people off from following the comp
The Big Bash was better when it was state v state previously

As I have said many times
20/20 is entertaining
But these franchises are a bit of a joke the way they are set up
And players are filling up their pockets with wads of cash

I only watch the games becoz its on our backyard
Ive seen about 1 hours of games in the IPL so far

Just flicked over channels and geez the WACA is a greentop. Cant tell the differance between the pitch and outfield.
Scorchers uniforms look the best in the comp

Agree that Hobart's is a shocker but I reckon Perth's looks the best in comp

Don't mind the Scorchers outfit...

Not a fan of the Scorchers kit, too much going on, doesn't look like a cricket shirt.

The game only partially resembles cricket, so why shouldn't the uniform partially resemble a cricket outfit? ;)

HOBART HURRICANES 140[19.3]
JACQUES 18[19] Too slow, let his team down
PONTING 17[19] useless, soaked up too many balls, put the rest of the line up under pressure
BIRT 40[30] very good batsman
SHAH 24[19] interesting batsman, might be ok, slow and poor runner
TRIFFIT 20[15] did ok

BEER 2/18[4] outstanding effort
EDMONDSON 4/40[4] too expensive !!!!!
MARSH 0/25 [4] bowled better than that, impressive

Poor effort by the Hurricanes, wooden spoon contenders on that effort
